Papyrus Bibliography Manager
This database with all articles published in the scientific journal Aquatic Mammals is offered here as a database for the Papyrus® Bibliography System and Knowledge Manager. If your are unfamiliar with this software please read on to learn some aspects which can be valuable for marine mammalogists. For a more comprehensive description of the software have a look at the website of Research Software Design, the makers of Papyrus.

How is the database formatted?
- As a Papyrus 8 for Macintosh database (ver 8.10, © 2000 Research Software Design) (see figures 1, 2 and 3), or
- As a Papyrus 7 for DOS/Windows database (ver 7.0.16c, © 1999 Research Software Design). A full Windows version of Papyrus 8 is in preparation.
What is the glossary like?
- This database is accompanied by a a glossary with all latin cetacean and pinniped names (see figure 6).
What are hierarchical keywords?
- Papyrus offers to use a keyword linking system (see figure 7).
