Having probably set out north of Scotland, this young male of about ten years old washed ashore at Egmond aan Zee in the Netherlands, on December 15th, 1979. The length of this skeleton is 14.20 m, the skull measuring 4.75 m. The width of the tail is 4 m. Its weight is about two and a half tons. The complete animal weighs 30 tons and measures 15.22 m.
